Good job on promoting bad behaviour TAPTES!

A rant against TAPTES for selling a steering-wheel counterweight that circumvents Tesla Autopilot safety features.

Good job on promoting bad behaviour TAPTES!

As of today, we have heard some people trying to circumvent the Tesla safety features while using AP. Some DYI projects, some better than others… but today, today marks a new low in profitability and greed over safety!

For the past month pro AP users and general users of Tesla have been arguing about the tragic accident in Texas that happened recently. Many argued that the AP was enabled, others that it wasn’t!

I am not writing this rent on the fact it was on or not, I am writing this to point the finger at a company that promotes a product that goes against the safety feature and the security of the occupants in a Tesla vehicle that enables AP/FSD. No one should be promoting a device that by pass, disable or circumvent a safety feature that is also under scrutiny by media, safety regulators, etc.

Here is TAPTES.com promoting this “TAPTES Model 3 Y Counterweight Ring Autopilot Accessories, Automatic Assisted Driving AP FSD Steering Wheel Weight Booster“. Despite all the facts regarding the safety, the responsibility of the driver using AP/FSD, we have this company that jumps in with a profit in mind and that most users won’t understand that it is technically illegal and down right dangerous…

The safety features in place are made for the occupants but also for the other vehicles. What if someone falls asleep, have a heart attach or god know what? the car will keep driving without the proper software and hardware in place to take over! We are still in the BETA phase of a very advanced system and now is not the time to jeopardize the evolution of that system with non-sense accessories!

I am hoping that Tesla takes a stand on this and bans all those devices at once. If anyone is selling this, they should also get sued for putting people’s lives in danger!
