RED5’s upgrade - Part 1

Hello everyone! Last time I touched on delivery expectations, and I will get back to that subject in a future article. This week I would like to focus on some of the “upgrades” I am making.

Here is a shortlist of upgrades I’m currently planning. My upgrades are factored by the usefulness, the cosmetic look, the benefits, and some hints and tips I gathered from around the Facebook groups and forums. Not all upgrades are based on performance at the moment; but as more information comes along for the car from Tesla and the other forums, I will plan more upgrades and enhancements.

The planned upgrades are as follows:

  • Add a wrap on the hood, add the door stickers
  • Add a console wrap: Cover the center console as it is scratched and fingerprints look awful. Possibly a black/carbon fiber wrap or a solid white like the rest of the car interior.
  • Add a complete wrap Satin: Possibly do a chrome delete… not sure!
  • Switch the winter tires and mags to summer tires and white mags

Now, the upgrades were delayed last month, as I was rear-ended and I am still waiting for my parts to have the body shop complete the repair. I was able to do the front wrap on my hood. This came out great and I am sharing a short video of the before and after. My kids forgot I was going to do this but we were so excited once it was done!
